Native to the higher mountains of South Korea. Slow grower, only 3-6" per year. Densely branched. Semi-rare evergreen. Avoid urban or streetside plantings.Plant on slopes or mounds providing good drainage and afternoon shade. Also plant ground cover or mulch to help cool the root zone in our Rogue Valley warm summers. Showy curved needles have a brilliant silvery-white underside. Cones are steel blue/purple and abundant and head upright in a prominent display.
